I am a hindu seraiki from India, whose grandparents came from Muzzafargarh & Multan in pakistan. I shall be very glad to talk to any of the Multanis particularly from Multan or Muzzafargarh and know more about the land of my forefathers.

My request to Makhdoom Shahzad, that there are good people in India as well. and since we come from same place, who knows we are some distant cousins. Anyways, if u can talk to us it will be nice.

Thank you for giving this opportunity

By sid_India on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 - 5:42 pm:

I am an Indian and have a friend of mine whose parents are from Pakistan (Probably Dera Ghazi Khan) and migrated to India during partition. He is interested to know about his "vadde-vadere" and their culture. Somehow, his parents are not forthcoming and not telling him about the language they speak in their home (not in front of him) and he thinks that they are called 'Multanis" and termed as very cunning 'Quom' in India.
Cud anyone pls. help him...
He may also like to visit to his parent's birth-place in pakistan.

Thanks all,

hazari hinko (hindko)

ze yam giyah kor-makan, je bayrich pohnch

zeenvi tay taki buzi khudni pinga tay. awaz mu mari dingiyah latah wam afreeti ghar bani. natnah wamzay kor.

now just shows punjabi is not the same as hinko. in accent, words, tenses etc just because there are some words which are punjabi does not mean it is punjabi because there are also pushto words and farsi words so it would be wrong to say that hinko is pushto or farsi, the same goes for horse crap like punjabi and urdu.

to insecure souls punjabis/chaudaries/mohajirs
who mainly reside in lahore/karachi
with their fake land claims and scholorships and fake noble ancestories to hide their hindu indian faces and ugly mothers. who think they know what is best for the rest and enslave and rob them, while they give blowjobs to americans.

zindabad itself is an afghan/farsi word

so why do the insecure souls use this lafaz

zindabad mullah omar

in hinko or pushto the zindabad is used first not after, the insecure souls who have robbed this word use it after example pakistan zindabad utter nonsense.

zindabad omar

why the insecure sould use this word is a mystery
yes it is to hide their ugly mothers and hindu aqeeda.

if pathan = girl robber or girl kidnapper and is used to describe and call all afghans and people of sarad by the ignorant munafiq bikini clad insecure souls with their horrid accent of the dajjal language (english).

then punjabi = sister f u c k e r and one who sells his mother to the pathan and s h i t s his pants while doing the transaction.

no offense to anyone

peace O

back to the topic can anyone write and translate more saraiki please and what similarities does it have with punjabi sindhi and other languages.

i heard that most of the saraiki feudal lords the waderas and sardars are of baloch and afghan origins.
and they love melas and annual games. and flock to sibi and loralai to have a good time with their bretheren unlike the kite flying insecure souls.

Bilal Shah,.

You say,"i m Bilal Shah from Zila Sargodha Tehsil ShahPur .."

Is that in Paskistani Punjab?

By Bilal Shah Msg For Jat Punjabi (202.5.128.39) on Sunday, December 01, 2002 - 1:39 pm:

Dear Jat Punjabi,
I think ur right but i think ur doing a little mistake is that , u hav written in ur message that Lehja ShahPuri is most commonly spoken in Following areas
1) Khushab
2) Sargodha
3) Shahpur
etc.
And the janglee lehja is spoken in these areas
1) Chiniot
2) Jhang
i think ur a little wrong here.
first let me introduce myself to u . i m Bilal Shah from Zila Sargodha Tehsil ShahPur and our mother tonguee is ShahPuri as well as Janglee which is very similar lehja to Saraiki. I don't Think so that Janglee And Shahpuri Lehjas r different i think its same because the Jhang's Language is 100% same as our's Sargody and Khushabi Language.
if u think i m wrong so plz contact me
at shah_19- at - msn.com and send me the right information.
And one thing more is that "Janglee" is not lehja it is something like lakab because at the time of partition the Makami pplz of these areas (Sargodha , Khushab , Jhang) were given that laqab by the pplz migrated from india to these areas.
And the language we speak is Shahpuri and our Laqab is Janglee.
Wat do u think
Plz Contact me at shah_19- at - msn.com
And Tell me urs email add as well. thanks :)

By history professor on Sunday, November 24, 2002 - 7:46 am:

masood , you are very correct, Sairakhi language is from outer mongolia and has no relationship with the language known as punjabi. There are no words in Saraikhi that are like punjabi in any shape sound or form. In fact saraikhi people are very different from any other, some have blond hair and yellow eyes and many have red hair and purple eyes. In fact sariaki people are not even from this area, they migrated from Norway to mongolia and then here 2000 years ago.

saraiki is a different language with its own history
it is not an accent of punjabi but it itself have
different accents

By Jat Punjabi on Sunday, November 03, 2002 - 6:21 pm:

Saraiki is an accent of punjabi.
Important accents of punjab in Lahnda(West) Punjab are:

1. Majhee : Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur. also in Amritsar (indian punjab)
2. Shahpuree : Sargodha, Shahpur, Khushab,Mandi Bahaudeen
3. Pothohari : R Pindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock
4. Saraiki: Multan DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Layyah, jhang
5. Jaanglee : Jhang, Chiniot
6. Jalandharee: Faisalabad, Sadiqabad, Bahwalnagar(most of ppl living in these cities migrated from jalandher in 1947).

Punjabi accents of Areas that border other provinces have many words from other languages, that is also reflected in their culture. Like Saraiki ppl have many common things with Sindhis, like wearing Ajrak and having many sindhi words.
Similarly culture of pothohar punjabis have many commonthings with those of Kashmiris.
I am sure someone coming from indian punjab wont be able to understand much if talking to a punjabi from murree or from dg khan.
Even when I speak shahpuri (my native accent)with lahorees, they dont understand many words.

Rab Rakha

Yeah slaaf, I agree. At least in India, we partitioned off Haryana and Punjab because the haryanis claimed they had a different language. I am a haryani and I can tell you that while our haryani language resembles punjabi, I too find myself a complete stranger amongst punjabis. If the government of India had not decided to partition off the states based on languages we would never have got our own state and the Punjabis would claim that we were theirs!!!!!!

Dear sir ,
My languae, saraiki is entirely different from punjabi.I find myself a stranger among punjabis, this shows the culturlal differences among us.The question is why the punjabis would like to mix our identity with their culture ,the reason is they have a colonail mentality. They only like to hold the saraikis tn their subjugation,so that the voices demanding a separate provinnce for saraikis be silenced once and for always. This is the way they think.

Maulana sandwich

There is the Jamaat-Ulema-e-Islam’s chief, Maulana Samiul Haq, in whose madrassas many a Talib was created. He is known as Maulana Sandwich, after being caught in a famous Islamabad brothel by the vice-squad. Maulana Sandwich was said to be in the middle, but if you’re thinking that there were two women, guess again — only one of his partners was reportedly of the fairer sex.

The culture of Potohar is quite similar across the board with main stream of Punjab other than the language obviously. Potohari is actually older than Punjabi itself I believe.

Potohari people are generally quite strong willed and love poetry (shairee) dhol playing and have a deep love of sport such as kabadi, pathar lifting (unique to Punjab) and also horse dancing (a cruel sport, but attracts a lot of viewers). The area is still very much feudal and has a great much antiquitous history, some of which dates back almost 50,000 years as the oldest discovered stone age relics are to be found in this region.

The people are generally also of a whiter complexion as there are a great many Kashmiri tribes, and considering it's location, it is also believed to be the initial pass way and eventual settling place for many conquering and migrating races such as Aryan, Afghan and Greek (very minorly though) influences in the region.

The area is very culturally rich and traditions of Potohar are very much more intellectually motivated in places such as Rawalpindi and it's surrounding zillas.

A beautiful region with amazing traditions and peoples of all creeds.

Siraiki has 85% lexical similarity with Sindhi. Only some regions like Sahiwal, Jhang and chishtian makes the dialects mixed with Punjabi.

The Multan was ruled by Afgan rule for many many years so they have different culture then the other punjab . Multan is punjab but the ppl clothes r like northen Pakistan and also the hijab of muslim wemen is common in Multan than Lahore or other punjab cities......
